On International Day of the Girl Child, it’s a good moment to remind ourselves about the difference girls can make in the world, given the right support and resources.
When girls in rural Kenya receive reusable sanitary pads made for them by women in their communities, it is our hope that they will be able to stay in school for longer. Our partner organisations are hopeful too; the women who make the pads, often as volunteers, are willing to help because of the difference they can make to girls taking steps towards adulthood. With a better education, the girls will be empowered to take action for their own futures, their families and communities.
Please consider giving girls in Kenya the chance to make a difference for themselves. You can follow us on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, give money to help us support our partners via our website, or DM us for more ways to help.
