International Youth Day 2024

12th August 2024

In celebration of International Youth Day 2024, we’re proud to reaffirm our commitment to ending period poverty and empowering young girls and women around the world. Our mission is to provide access to reusable period pads and support women in starting period pad-making projects and businesses, ensuring that no one is held back by their menstrual cycle.

Bridging the Gap in Period Poverty

Period poverty remains a significant issue affecting millions of girls and women worldwide. Lack of access to menstrual products can lead to missed school days, increased health risks, and a perpetuation of gender inequality. We’re dedicated to breaking this cycle by providing sustainable solutions that not only address the immediate need for menstrual products but also empower young women economically.

Our Initiatives

  1. Access to Reusable Period Pads: We distribute reusable period pads to girls and women in underserved communities. These eco-friendly products are a sustainable alternative to disposable pads, reducing waste and ensuring long-term access to menstrual hygiene.
  2. Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: Our training programs equip women with the skills and resources needed to start their own period pad-making businesses or other sewing options. This initiative fosters economic independence and encourages local production, creating a ripple effect of empowerment and sustainability within communities.
  3. Educational Workshops: We conduct workshops in schools and communities to educate young people about menstrual health and hygiene. By normalizing conversations around menstruation, we aim to eliminate the stigma and misinformation that often surround this natural process.
