Final preparations are in full swing for the Trustees trip to Buburi. Due mainly to the help, support and drive from Evans Barasa, the newly employed Trustee Representative the clinic has grown expeditiously this year. There are now eleven local people employed. The clinic employed a Laboratory Technician in May this year, the electricity was finally connected and services for the community now include a very busy in house Laboratory. All the Trustees have been exceptionally busy over the last few weeks working with Evans to prepare more structured policies and documents for use by the clinic to give clearer support and guidelines for the operational management of Rom Wandera clinic. These documents are also helping to make clear structured preparations for the eventual take over of managerial responsibility by the Committee. Trustees Jo and Jackie are busy packing supplies, making arrangements to purchase RDT’s and medical supplies, planning meetings regarding getting the essential borehole drilled in the clinic grounds, purchasing needed equipment for the rapidly expanding clinic. We would all like to thank our anonymous benefactor for her generous donation which is enabling us to purchase a new Binocular Microscope for use in the Laboratory. This will undoubtedly revolutionise his work!
Friends and Supporters, we are so grateful for your ongoing financial and practical support. Without all of you, this amazing progress would not be possible.
