The last few weeks has seen a boost to our finances through fund raising. On May 8th Exeter Choral Society nominated us as their chosen charity for their concert. The collection raised £490. On the same evening a nearly new sale was held in Exeter and loving homes were found for those ‘mistakes’ we all make, £700 was raised and then finally on May 18th a quiz night raised £1000. All this helps towards raising the required funds to drill a borehole in the grounds of the clinic. This will give a reliable source of safe water, not only for the clinic but also for the surrounding villagers who at the present have to walk 1 kilometre to get safe water. Can you imagine what it is like not to have taps that give a reliable supply of water, maybe we should try not to use taps for 24 hours and see how it feels.
